If you are like me you spend a certain amount of time dedicated to trying to make your hair straight before leaving the house only to step out to the door to, what I am can only call, instant mayhem! Seriously it takes a whole two minutes before I start to look like Shirley Temple, well not the cute version, but an older scary version with my hair sticking out in all directions! My hair just doesn’t like the humidity in Shanghai, or is it the other way round!
For a long time I have toyed with the idea of getting some kind of straightening done to my hair, but all the horror stories about chemicals and the damage that it does to your hair kept me away. Also, I didn’t like the idea of going from crazy, frizzy lady to limp, lifeless lady!
Some of the Dolls started mentioning a product that is not only straightening, but conditioning at the same time La-Brasiliana Zero Keratin treatment with collagen. I heard that my favourite hairdresser in Shanghai Stephen Buchanan was doing it, so off I went to get myself an appointment and give it a try.
It has been a week since I have had it done and my hair is so shiny, straight (without being flat) and soft! I am a total convert! The great thing about this product is how healthy your hair will feel after doing it. I don’t think my hair has ever been so shiny and I keep getting compliments from people telling me how great my hair looks. Even if I wash my hair and let it dry naturally it is still pretty straight and it never gets knotty, which is something I always had trouble with. I have really fine hair and not much of it, so Stephen didn’t put it on my roots, which leaves me with some body still.
It takes a few hours to do and you can’t get your hair wet or tie it back for 24 hours to give the product time to soak into the hair properly. The lifespan of the product depends on how well you look after your hair and how often you wash it. You need to use sodium free shampoo/conditioner to increase the lifespan of the product, but it should last anywhere from two to four months.
Since getting my hair done I have spoken to a couple of other Dolls who are also totally stoked about how their hair has turned out. So if you have hair that has a mind of its own or you just want a great conditioning treatment this product would work for you. I would love to hear some other stories about what girls thought about it after getting it done.

Well, yes, but I still like my locks from time to time, and this brasilian treatment is just the answer because it didnt take the body and volume out of my hair. I can still curl it, and love having the choice ;)
