I have been gagging to get my hands on this collection ever since I saw the first ad for Lanvin for H&M collaboration.

The Lanvin for H&M collection held its star studded show in a New York hotel Pierre last week. Sofia Coppola and Emma Roberts were amongst the chosen few lucky enough to perch on the front row.

Sofia Coppola said of the collection, "I think Alber Elbaz is great, I love what he does at Lanvin, and it’s so girly and playful and confident. It's so cool he's working with H&M, it makes it so accessible to all kinds of young people to be able to afford it and wear it".

For fashionista ladies there are beautiful, frothy frocks in bright colors and pieces full of Parisian glamour. The guys' collection is whole new wardrobe of covetable updated classics, with tuxedos made for daywear and jogging pants adding a whole new sporting twist.

Looks from the haute couture show along with five original signed sketches from Alber Elbaz went up for auction on www.lanvinforhm.com. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to UNICEF, as part of H&M’s “All for Children” project. In case you want to bid remember that the online auction will end on November 26th at midnight CET.

Excited yet? I am!  Lanvin for H&M is already launched in US and Canada, and on November 23 the collection will hit H&M store on HuaiHai Lu.

I really want to have these two dresses in my closet, but I'm afraid it will be nearly impossible to get into the H&M store on Tuesday. I will give it a try though.

Do you this collection is worth queueing for several hours on HuaiHai Lu?

Did you go to see Lanvin's collection for H&M?

Whether you bought a piece from the collection or not, your opinion interests me!

I'm doing a PhD on this subject and am very interested in what you have to say.

Here is the link to the Questionnaire

After I got to know that in Hong Kong H&M people started queuing yesterday at 3PM I kinda gave up. Can you imagine?!! H&M was passing free vitamin water to those shopping heroes.

Haven't heard any news yet from Shanghai H&M which is very strange. If there is still a chance to get in and buy something I might go later today. But really don't feel like getting involved in that massacre.

UPD:
Just now CNNGo published the article saying that Shanghai fashionistas started queuing last night at 7:30PM. So I guess by now the chances are very low, considering that last year Jimmy Choo's collection for H&M was sold out in 2 minutes after the store opened (source http://tinyurl.com/36bz84h)

If only Chinese lined up, they would probably only take certain sizes, so if you are still interested, take a look. You never know, you could get lucky!!!! :)

I don't even know. If I go there at 6am I'm sure there will be hundreds of people in the queue and I'm not sure I love these dresses to the extend to get there at 4.30AM (that's when people started queueing when Comme les Garcons did collection for H&M 2 years ago).

Wow, Chinese are brand crazy - LOL. I would have thought being a weekday, the store would be empty!!!

Did you line up & get your dresses???

:)
