July's book club has been delayed a week to August 5. We will be discussing "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K Dick, while enjoying the chocolate treats of hoF.
On July 27, there is a free screening of the movie based on this book, "Blade Runner". Check this event, some of us will be heading there as well.
Book for August is "The Driver's Seat" by Muriel Spark. Following books have not been decided on yet, so please think of some suggestions!
Please register by August 3, so I can make a reservation.
Brian Tan's Puxi venue, a dessert slash wine lounge, offers House of Flour's amazing chocolate cake, and a few new utterly delicious creations like Chocolate Sinan Lu (we'll leave you to find the surprise), and a heavenly chocolate mousse cake with buttery crunchies inside. If you're in a salty mood, go for bacon wrapped prune tapas or the scrumptious RMB98 cheese plate. HoF offers wine, tapas, gelato, coffee, tasty designer cocktails and truffles in addition to dessert. CityWeekend
