Here comes Shanghai Dolls Fitness Challenge #3! It will kick off on October 11th and will last for six weeks until November 17th with two sessions weekly Monday and Wednesdays. After the completion of the six week fitness training the three teams Jingan, Luwan and Xujiahui will have a fun day in Century Park and then Cantina Agave to celebrate making it through the six weeks of training! Each picnic day is a great way to have some fun and laughs. There are team and individual prizes on the day after the picnic.
This challenge is designed for any fitness level, so please do not feel that you need to be fit to join, as that is the goal for the challenge to help everyone improve in their health and wellbeing. The last challenge saw competitors from complete beginners to reasonably fit.
The photos the Fitness Challenge Finals are here.
Cost of the course is 1200rmb, which works out to be 100rmb per session.
Time: From October 11th every Monday & Thursday 7:30PM - 8:30PM

Aah... lots of running, really?! What's that saying?... be careful what you ask for, you might just get it...
Looking forward to getting back to training next week... I think!
Sky, check out the Toray Marathon event and the forum. I think you should be able to find some runners there.
The Luwan team is doing a lot of running on Wednesday nights, so feel free to come and join us too.
I just moved to Shanghai. Is there any group whick runs together? (not im the jim)
Hi Daniella! Welcome to the Dolls and the Luwan fitness team! I will send you a PM with some more details for the fitness challenge, but thought I would clarify that officially training is Monday and Wednesdays 7:45 - 8:45 PM. A lot of the girls also train on Friday 7:00-8:00.

I'll probably do some sessions once I'm back from the UK around the 18th October but might not make the challenge because I might be away again.
If Shane wants the training to be for 5 weeks, does that mean the challenge will be brought forward or are the other teams sticking to 6 weeks?
Cheers,
Jenny
When I trained for a 1/2 marathon a few years ago, I ran 3 days a week (two shorter and one longer run) and cross-trained 2 times a week -- so I think as long as you have time, you should be fine. Best to check with Shaneo though -- he would know best.
