Shanghai Dolls Events. Make friends and have fun in Shanghai!

Are you new member of the group or have been a member for a while but haven't joint our events so far? Join our Happy Hump Days to meet some of our new and old members. It's a great opportunity to break up the working week, to make new friends and to have a chit-chat and some laughs with girls over the casual drink and a bite to eat. It's also a perfect opportunity to discover new places in Shanghai. Every Wednesday we head to a different venue to find the perfect Dolls venue. Join this hunt with us!

Something a little different this week as we're joined by the women of THRIVE (Grace Publishing)―Lisa Blunt Rochester and Ruth Kuguru. 

THRIVE is a collection of mini-memoirs from 34 expat women accompanied by beautiful black and white photography.  It tells the stories of everyday women, most of whom arrived in Shanghai as accompanying spouses, and have gone on to redefine their own meanings for success, finding a new calling here in China.

The authors will discuss the inspiration behind the book and the significance of this work as a call to action, challenging women to aim not only to survive the fast-paced nature of Shanghai, but to thrive on it.

We're sure they'll provide plenty of stimulating conversation, sharing of experiences and inspiration over a glass of wine or two!
