Have you ever walked out of the salon in the past and asked yourself this question: “How did this happen?” followed by the next thought “Now what do I do?”  Well, you’re not alone!  Almost 30 years ago I too asked that question after leaving a salon and that event would later inspire me to both enter my profession and to provide women with the knowledge and information necessary to optimize their image and salon visits.

My Workshops are both educational and entertaining and are designed to provide you with a behind the scenes look at our industry and how things really should work and why.

We cover a wide variety of topics during the event as well as having personal consultations with each guest so we can explain how and why would achieve our results.

My goal with the workshops is simple; to arm you “The Client” with enough comprehensive knowledge to ensure you will never be left in the dark again when it comes to one of the most important issues in life, “You’re Image”.  By the time the workshop is over you will know more about hair and its possibilities than most stylists!  With this knowledge you will finally be able to take control of your hair appointments and feel like a partner in the salon relationship rather than a helpless victim.

All about Hair Color:  We talk about everything to do with color and how to best integrate it with today’s trends and your personal image.  A very comprehensive part of our class!

Cutting and Design:  Here we cover all issues related to cutting and design such as matching your cut to your features and body type, proper tools, today’s trends and more!

Finding and Consulting with a stylist:  Without a doubt this is the most important part of the salon relationship and covers every topic you should cover before starting your salon process as well as how to find a truly qualified stylist.

Personalizing your Image: Tips on how to properly approach changing or updating your image, a key part of the talk where you learn how to change comfortably and purposely. In this segment we also talk about the importance of matching your hair and color to your features and body type.

Straighteners and Perms:  Here you will learn the truth behind our industries most invasive services so you can decide once and for all what is best for you.  We look into the facts each type of Straighteners available today, not the hype and marketing and break it down in a way you can understand.

Hair Products and Home care:  There are many miss conceptions about products today segment in this segment we examine them in-depth so the next time you need product you can make an informed decision and not be taken in by today’s marketing and imagery.

Repairing Damaged Hair or Having Issues during your Appointment:  Looks at a variety of ways of truly repairing your hair on a molecular level as well as discussing what to do if you find yourself in a negative situation in a salon during an appointment

Private One on One consultation: (The favorite part) In the last segment of the talk we hold a private consultation with each guest and explain in front of the group why we would make certain changes or what a persons potential might be, this is usually the favorite part of the workshops.

Who can attend?

The workshops are open to anyone and can accommodate 5 to 25 people.

Options:

Make Up:  If requested and my artist is available we can include a wonderful make up artist who is at the top of her profession and whom I trust.  Charlotte can explain to you the finer points behind today’s make up and its principles.

Anti-Aging: I am now working with a very unique Anti-Aging Clinic here in Shanghai and would love to share their knowledge with you.

Tailoring: Lastly, if the man in your life needs a lift I have a men’s tailor I work with and can invite him to explain the finer parts of today’s fabrics and styles.
